Yes, some porcelain tiles will benefit from sealing.

It was once true that porcelain generally did not require sealing due to its low water absorption. However, the varying types of porcelain now available has increased and there are some tiles on the market with higher absorption levels that could benefit from sealing.

If your porcelain tiles are dull and difficult to clean, you can have them professionally cleaned, re-grouted and sealed with an intensifier to dramatically improve the look of your floors.

We recommend that you call a professional to test the absorbency of your porcelain and advise on the best sealer to use. Opiela Tiling can provide a free consultation and estimate to restore your tiles. Learn more.
